PennDOT’s Yellow Dot Program is a potentially life-saving program designed to aid in emergency situations.  Participants in the Yellow Dot program enter their emergency contact, medical contact, and medical information on forms inside a Yellow Dot folder, placing that information inside their vehicle’s glove compartment.

Participants then place a Yellow Sticker on their vehicle’s rear window.  This sticker alerts emergency responders to check a vehicle’s glove compartment for the folder, with information critical to helping emergency responders provide specific care to participants after an accident.

To participate in the Yellow Dot Program, complete a participation form to have PennDOT mail a Yellow Dot kit.  Once ordered, your kit should arrive in three weeks.

While the Yellow Dot program is utilized only in vehicle crashes, the Emergency Contact Information program is usable in other emergencies as well as crashes.
