Our award-winning, growing insurance agency is searching for an organized, motivated, and professional insurance agent to join our team, expanding our client base and servicing our existing book of business. Your chief goal will be to help us transform the insurance experience by guiding clients through the best coverage options from top providers by evaluating, designing, presenting and selling insurance packages. While this role is sales-based, it is a hybrid with service responsibilities as well. In this position you will also communicate with our policyholders and focus on client retention. An insurance agent will foster lasting relationships, listen empathetically, solve problems, and focus on client acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This position will play a leading role in ensuring customer satisfaction with our agency and retention. Success in this role requires excellent listening skills in an environment that is focused on growth and relationship strengthening, while keeping our agency mission at the core.

In this role you will complete the full policy inception process: meeting with potential clients to discuss their insurance needs, researching all the available policy options, negotiating with underwriters to get the best policy at the best price, presenting policy details to the client, and signing the policy agreement.

In addition to selling insurance plans to new customers, you will also be responsible for cross-selling plans to existing customers to expand client’s insurance plans and cultivating lasting relationships while overseeing our portfolio of clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve customer acquisition and agency revenue growth objectives
  • Maintain our leading retention rate with carriers
  • Meet and exceed sales goals
  • Provide frontline communications with customers and carriers
  • Initiate new business sales while prospecting to build business referral relationships
  • Document all client correspondence in the agency management system
  • Perform annual reviews with clients including policy evaluations & updates
  • Participate and provide input for agency social media
  • Advise clients on when and how to submit a claim on their policy
  • Monitor insurance claims to ensure client and company satisfaction
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress of agency initiatives
  • Embody and execute FDIG’s mission statement
  • Engage new prospects and build strong relationships within the community
  • Participate in community events representing our agency
  • Represent our agency in the community in a positive light

Requirements/Experience:

  • Motivated, coachable personality with career-minded vision

  • Attention to detail with proficiency to multitask and follow through
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Life & Health Insurance Licensed preferred while not required
