Kate Ferri Dawson, CISR, CPIA

President

Kate is the dreamer and founder of Ferri Dawson Insurance Group, deeply proud of building her own business from the ground up.  Our President began her career in insurance in 2011, and obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance License the following spring. Kate obtained her Life License in 2025. A graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and Mass Media Technology, while focusing on Marketing and Public Relations.  Her professional industry designations include Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA), among other certifications.

Kate enjoys traveling, self-development, gardening, yoga, and spending time with her family.  Kate resides in Murrysville with her husband, Fred and their French Bulldog.  On the weekends she enjoys visiting record stores to expand her vinyl collection and going to concerts in her 1974 Volkswagen Westfalia. She’s often found in the Cultural District of Pittsburgh at the theater.

Kate has a passion for volunteering and contributes time to numerous charities, including HOPE for Steve, which supported the husband of her college friend who battled ALS and raised funds searching for a cure.  She is a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council and Bridges Society. Kate also serves on the Advisory Board for S&T Bank and is a dedicated member on the Board of Directors for Insurance Agents & Brokers; in 2025 Kate stepped up to Vice-Chair the board. IA&B is a professional trade association that drives professional training, advocacy and support for independent insurance agents in Pennsylvania, Maryland & Delaware.

At the agency, her focus is on developing an incredible team of professionals that serve the agency and our community.  An exemplary client experience is what drives her constantly improving the systems and processes at the agency.  Kate helps wherever the team needs because her support and guiding hand is what started the company to make it what it is.

Courtney Wolfe

Agency Operations Coordinator

Courtney Wolfe is the Agency Operations Coordinator and Brand Ambassador at Ferri Dawson Insurance Group, where she works to support daily operations, helping to create a smooth, positive experience for both clients and colleagues. She brings a diverse professional background in nonprofit work, healthcare, and human resources, giving her a well-rounded, people-first approach to her work.

A graduate of Seton Hill University, Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication with a focus on Media and Advocacy. Courtney is passionate about helping others and values building strong relationships through clear communication and dependable support. Her varied experience allows her to adapt quickly and contribute to a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family. She is married with two children and shares her home with two cats and a dog, making life both busy and full of joy.
